Heavy Duty Stairclimbing Forklift

Our Heavy Duty Stairclimbing Forklifts are capable of lifting 540 kg off the back of a truck or van, as well as carrying this weight up and down stairs.

Our Forklifts have side frames made from robust tempered aluminium as well as steel lifting frames with 700 mm long forks. This gives it the capacity to lift loads up to 1370mm high - making it the ideal choice for loading or unloading a semitrailer.

The Stairclimbing forklifts come with either a manual hand crank or electric winch, a12V, 17A/h sealed gel battery, automatic battery charger, and one 3.6 metre retractable load securing strap (RW-1). (Except the QLA-HC).

There are four different models in the forklift stairclimber range.

Forks on the MLA range are non-detachable. The swivel castors at the rear of the machine are designed to help handle large loads on tight landings.

Forks on the RLA range are detachable. The stairclimber can be used with or without the fork and can be converted to a standard handtruck in a matter of seconds.
The RLA has swivel castors on the front.

Depending on the model, forklifts also come with with either a battery-operated fork winch (EW – electric winch), or a hand operated fork winch (HC – hand crank).

Applications

The Staircat Forklift stairclimber has a 540kg lift capacity, making it a ideal for use instead of a standalone forklift.

Not only is the forklift perfect for raising product on or into the delivery vehicle, the adjustable height has a dramatic influence on the stairclimber's ‘balance point’. The user

The user's back is protected because heavy and compact equipment can be positioned higher, removing the need for excessive bending or hunching. As a result, Staircat Forklifts are ideal for HVAC, pumps, motors, and gearboxes.

When the lift plate attachment is added to the fork tynes, a strong, stable platform is created for moving items such as safes, vaults, wood fire heaters, and ATMs.

Commercial photocopiers can roll right onto the lift plate, single-handed, ready for the climb, using the copy ramp.

The Staircat is also easy to move over uneven ground, thanks to its large wheels and 360 degree casters. This makes it great for getting welding, cutting and sanding equipment on site.
